Here in Portugal it’s 2 PM right now, and in a couple of hours I’ll go and spend Christmas with my family. Before I do that, however, I want to wish you all a merry whatever-holiday-if-any-you-celebrate.
It may appear strange that an atheist like yours truly celebrates Christmas. However, not only is Christmas an originally pagan holiday (and much older than the supposed birth of Jesus), but, around here, it’s not really a religious holiday. We celebrate Christmas because of tradition, and as an excuse for the family to get together, possibly exchange gifts (though the increasing consumerism is certainly annoying), have a good time, and enjoy each other’s company… which, for some odd reason, is never done during the rest of the year.
So, whatever you readers celebrate, enjoy yourselves. If you don’t celebrate anything… do you really need an excuse to enjoy yourselves anyway?

Merry you know what to you too !
Really! You said it all! I’m brazilian and atheistic, so there should ne mp reasons for doing so, uh?
For some reason that i cannot explain i said that to an aunt and thought it would start an undesired conflict during the reunion, but she said that she thought the same as me, but the thing of “getting people together” is the true motivation for so much “food wastes”, being malicious
I like it very much, my aunts, uncles and cousins are funny but I can’t see many of them often. Even birthdays are not comemorated with us all, because we forget one another, because the dates seem to never become in a great moment, and so on…
Christmas is christmas!
And, oh, this time more than just underwears: MP3 Player, expensive pants and t-shirts, new chair for the PC and a book.
Sorry for the grammar, but remember that I’m a foreigner, added to the fact that I’m in a hurry. It’s a pleasure to read your Blog. Unfortunately you won’t understand mine because it’s in Portuguese. See ya, happy new year!
“there should be no reasons”*
