Many times, I followed religion, many times I put faith in god, Countless times, I got denied justice. Good things don't happen to good people. I have learned that the hard way. I am tired of trying to make a decent living working hard and honest. Everything they say about good things come to those who wait and are good is a lie. If god implied true justice, the assholes and bastard low lifes of this world would have been sentenced to hell. I had no faith in mankind, thinking of most others who couldn't compete with my intelligence as idiots, who liked pop music and Hollywood movies as dolts with no sense of culture. I didn't see any angels or miracles, so I had no reason to believe there was anything more. Sure, I was pretentious and elitist, but I had the "evidence" to back it up (studies, results, etc). But life sucked for the main reason that I had nothing to live for. I'm now a Christian, and while I still don't see any angels or miracles, life just makes so much more sense. I've got humility, I'm nicer, and care more for my fellow man. My family is about as atheist as it comes, so it has nothing to do with family. But Jesus has made a huge difference in my life, and I'm a better person because of it. So, Pedro, I wish you all the best.
